About Louise
Louise Hof (born in 1986, NL) is a dedicated psychologist based in Groningen, the Netherlands, known for her compassionate approach to mental health and her commitment to helping individuals navigate their psychological challenges. With a background in clinical psychology, Louise earned her Master’s degree from the University of Groningen, where she developed a keen interest in crosscultural psychology and the connection between body and mind.

Throughout her career, Louise has worked in various settings, including private practice, community health organizations, and academic institutions. She specializes in treating anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma-related conditions, utilizing a client-centered approach that prioritizes empathy and collaboration. Louise is particularly skilled in integrating innovative therapeutic techniques, such as mindfulness, EMDR, CBT and Internal Family Systems, into her practice. In addition to being a psychologist, she is also trained as a mindfulness trainer and intercultural communication trainer.

Next to her clinical work, Louise is passionate about promoting mental wellness and destigmatizing mental health issues. She frequently conducts courses educating people about and effective coping strategies, in the form of a mindfulness year group and mindfulness meditation courses (both in Dutch) .

As a lifelong learner, Louise remains committed to her professional development and stays updated with new therapy treatments. She believes that empowering individuals with knowledge and helping them to contact their own inner compass is essential for fostering resilience and promoting lasting change.
